Leah Jørgensen Cellars has been invited to participate once again in the official "Cab Franc Day" celebration on December 4th. Leah is currently the only Oregon wine producer dedicated to Cabernet Franc - in fact, six of her nine wines are made from Cabernet Franc grapes, only one of those six is a blend.
Last year, guests enjoyed a sit down 1920s dinner with food inspired by historic Waldorf Astoria menus from the 1920s. Everyone dressed in 1920s fashion and enjoyed flowing glasses of Leah's Cabernet Franc, a 20s photo booth, and music highlighting the Cole Porter songbook as performed by The Bylines with guest Charlie Porter on trumpet. The event was also a fundraiser for Growing Gardens.
This year, still on December 4th, we're modifying a few things so that each year this special event has a new twist!
Guests are asked to not simply dress in 1920s attire, but, come dolled up as your favorite 1920s personality - can be a musician, an actress, a writer, an artist, a mogul, an heiress, a fashion designer, a fictional character. Use your imagination! It's gotta be roaring!
Instead of a sit down dinner, we'll have an elegant seafood station and other 1920s inspired bites, plus live music, dancing, a photo booth and more! Leah Jørgensen Cellars Cabernet Franc wines will be filling glasses - including new releases - also available to purchase for your holiday soirees and gifts. This is a grand opportunity for lovers of Cabernet Franc to join the official @CABFRANCDAY celebration at the only participating location in Oregon!
