1920s Cab Franc Dinner Party!

Kick of the holiday season in roaring 1920's style!  Some things you should know:

No. 1 - The MENU!
Very excited to present this menu teaser by Chef Jonathan Hoffman (Chef's Table, Cannon Beach; 3 time Iron Chef winner) - inspired by the haute cuisine of the 1920s. Chef Hoffman is recreating historic recipes from the likes of the Waldorf Astoria, as well as creations inspired by 1920s literary classic, The Great Gatsby - but, with his own unique interpretation. We aren't including all of the delicious and decadent ingredients and details - but, this is going to be very special!  There will be "ooh" and "ahh" moments!

No. 2 - #CabFrancDay
Celebrate the many beautiful faces of Cabernet Franc with Oregon vintner, Leah Jorgensen.

A special thank you to our friends at Dracaena Wines in Paso Robles for inviting us to participate as the very first Oregon winery in the second annual Cab Franc Day celebration on December 4th - the anniversary of the death of Cardinal Richelieu, who transported cuttings of the vine to the Loire Valley in the 17th Century.

Each participating winery will host an event and participate in a live Twitter tasting and chat.  To participate in the only Cab Franc Day celebration in Oregon, make your reservation for our 1920's Cab Franc Grand Dinner Party at Corkscrew Wine Bar!!

We will be using social media and designated hash tags all evening to celebrate in #CabFrancDay!

No. 3 - The Music!
The 1920's dinner party keeps getting more magical! Introducing our musical talent - The Bylines.  Musical duo Reece Marshburn and Marianna Thielen will enchant us through the Cole Porter songbook, along with more sounds of the 1920's!  Feel transported to a glittering time of Prohibition era speakeasies and jazz clubs.

No. 4 - Costume Party - step back in time with us...
Festive 1920's attire requested!  We are decking the halls at Corkscrew to feel like a 1920's grand dinner party and speak easy.  Our service team will be dressed in the part.  And, I just ordered a REAL vintage 1920's art deco dress to bring an authentic hostess charm to the evening!  We have thought of every detail.

No. 5- The Feel-Good Non-Profit Partner
We know it's a challenging time to celebrate - so, we are partnering with a wonderful non-profit organization to help lift us up, inspire us, and give us something truly wonderful to celebrate!  We are proud to host Growing Gardens as our community partner for the evening. Executive Director Jason Skipton will join us for dinner to discuss opportunities to donate time and/or money to their worthy cause.
Mission for Growing Gardens: To reduce hunger and transform lives through the experience of gardening and growing your own food. We work with thousands of volunteers to build organic vegetable gardens at homes, schools, and correctional facilities. Our work changes lives.
